John Elton — Your Song

 Elton John - Your Song
----------------------

Although there are already 6 different versions of this song here (Ver2 actually
contains 2 separate versions), I don't think any of them have got it exactly
right, so here's my effort.

The song is, of course, in the key of E-flat Major (as in Ver3), so you need a
capo on the 1st fret in order to play it in D Major. However, I find that it's
much easier to play it in C major (i.e. Capo 3), because, for example,

whereas Am/F# is quite easy to play, Bm/G# is beyond my poor skills!

Nevertheless I've also included the chords for D major, to make my version
easier to compare with the other versions of the song.

John Elton — Your Song

(This is a very simple version of this song for guitar (not piano).
I give this transcription to some of my sutdents so they can work on
fingerpicking -- sounds very pretty when done this way.
Play through the 1st verse & end on a D-chord instead of the
A-chord for the Intro) Have Fun!!!
