This what the bass plays most of the time, but as I don't have a bass
this is what my guitar plays :)
You can move it down to the open strings but it sounds better to me here.
I know this is ridiculously short but I just have to add something to the few
Violent Femmes currently on.

    They play this line most of the song sometimes they will play a messed up
    note on the riff but it has the same beat.  If you play this the whole song
    it should work.
